Buckeye Youth plan Valentines for Vets

On Wednesday, February 8, Buckeye Youth members and the public are invited to attend and make Valentines to be distributed to disabled veterans at the Veterans Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The event will be held from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5803 on Jackson Street (across from the YMCA in Van Wert. Those planning to participate should enter through the north door.

Valentines for Veterans is a nationwide event and many non-profits and organizations make Valentines for veterans to be distributed to disabled veterans across the country. This is a small way to show appreciation to veterans who have sacrificed so much for this country.

The VFW will have representatives present at the event and refreshments will be served.  Buckeye Youth is a United Way agency.
