Alfred Emanuel Baldauf

Alfred Emanuel Baldauf, 83, of Van Wert, died at 7:50 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2012, at the Sarah Jane Living Center in Delphos.

He was born August 10, 1928, in Van Wert, the son of the late George and Hanora (Hempfling) Baldauf. He married Patricia A. Baldauf, who survives in Van Wert.

Other survivors include a brother, Jim Baldauf of Delphos; one sister, Delores Hurley of Delphos; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Five brothers, Paul, Herman, John, Dan and George Baldauf; and six sisters, Lillian Robinson, Mary Borgelt, Marciel Borgelt, Ann Henry, JoAnn Suever and Hazel Friend, also preceded him in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 16, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Melvin Verhoff officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 15, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with a parish wake will be held at 7:45 that evening.
