Box truck fire…

The Convoy Fire Department was dispatched to a box truck fire at 3:40 p.m. Friday. It occurred in the westbound lane of U.S. 30, just west of the Ohio 49 north exit. The truck was a total loss and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown. The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Patrol along with the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department assisted with traffic control. Westbound U.S. 30 was closed for a period of time with traffic being detoured around the accident. Bob Barnes photos
