Helen R. Clark

Helen R. Clark, 90, of Delphos, died at 3:05 a.m. Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

She was born June 6, 1921, in Lima, the daughter of the late Clarence and Leona (Molter) Swick. On February 10, 1945, she married Edward F. Clark, who preceded her in death on December 19, 2004.

Survivors include six sons, Michael E. (Marty) Clark, Steven J. (Susan) Clark, Joseph W. (Niki) Clark, Edward C. (Donna) Clark and Nicholas J. (Elise) Clark, all of Delphos; and Philip J. (Deb) Clark of Cincinnati; a daughter, Pamela A. (Rick) Hanser of Delphos; three brothers, Robert (Rosemary) Swick of Defiance, William (Marie) Swick of Delphos and James (Barb) Swick of Lima; a sister, Margaret Geise of Delphos; a sister-in-law, Agnes Swick of Delphos; 17 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

A brother, Thomas Swick; one brother-in-law, Donald Geise; and a grandson, Kyle Clark, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Delphos, with Father Melvin Verhoff officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a parish wake will be held at 7:30 that evening.
