YMCA has St. Patrick’s Day special

The leprechauns at the YMCA of Van Wert County are offering the general public a great membership special today only.

For those who come to the Y today wearing green in honor of St. Patrick’s Day and choose to join, there will be no joining fee. The St. Patrick’s Day special is a savings of up to $75, depending on the type of membership purchased.

Qualifying membership options are family, single parent family, adult, teen/college and youth.  Some age requirements may apply to certain areas, but generally incorporate full use of the YMCA, including wellness center and weight room, Xtra fit gym, open and lap swims, aquatic and fitness classes, gym use when available, saunas and whirlpools and discounted rates on swim lessons, program participation, party and gym rentals, and more.

“We are excited to be able to offer this special, equivalent to a savings of up to 14 percent off the first year of a new membership, depending on the type of membership purchased,” said YMCA Executive Director Hugh Kocab. “This is also during registration for Spring Swim Classes.  We hope this provides families a better opportunity to participate in these events.”
