Larry L. Lindeman
Larry L. Lindemann, 63, of Valley City, N.D., died Saturday, March 17, 2012, at his residence under Hospice of the Red River Valley Care.

Larry Lowel Lindeman, the son of the late John “Jack” and Hariet (Godfredson) Lindemann, was born December 31, 1948, in Fargo, N.D.
Larry grew up in the Lucca, N.D., area and attended school in Lucca before attending school in Enderlin, N.D. Larry graduated from Enderlin High School in 1966. After his graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served his country until his discharge in 1970. On December 28, 1970, he was united in marriage to Kathryn Huettl in Max, ND. The couple then moved to Valley City, N.D., where Larry was farming in partnership with his brother, Dan, on the family farm near Lucca, N.D. The brothers farmed and also began doing crop dusting in the Lucca and Enderlin area. Larry attended Kundert Aviation Schooling in Fargo, N.D., where he was certified to be an Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) aviation mechanic. Larry then began a lifelong career of doing aviation mechanic work, and opened his own shop, General Air Service in Valley City. Larry also received his Inspection Authorization from the FAA. Larry loved to fly, and was known to give anyone a ride in his airplanes. He was famous for giving rides in his pride and joy, a Boeing PT-17 Stearman biplane that he and his brother Dan restored. He also enjoyed woodworking, riding Harley Davidson Motorcycles and restoring Vintage Indian Motorcycles. Larry was very proud of his family, especially his grandchildren, who will all greatly miss him and his great sense of humor.
Larry is survived by his wife Kathy, Valley City, N.D.; three children, Tiarra (Brad) Kappel, of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, Ryan (Sarah) Lindemann of Van Wert, and Rachelle Lindemann of Valley City, N.D.; three grandchildren, Teagan and Sofie Kappel and Sawyer Lindemann; and one sister, Paula Krall, Valley City, N.D.
His brother, Dan, also preceded him in death.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 22, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Valley City, with Monsignor Dennis Skonseng celebrant.
Calling hours are from 4 until 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Valley City and an hour before the service at the church on Thursday morning. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
