Pauline A. Geise

Pauline A. Geise, 87, of Landeck, died at 7:20 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2012, at her residence.

She was born March 23, 1925 in Landeck, the daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa (Scharf) Kill. On October 26, 1946, she married John J. Geise Sr., who preceded her in death on April 9, 1997.

Survivors include three sons, Douglas (Dorothy “Dot”) Geise, Richard (Barb) Geise and John (Barb) Geise Jr., all of Delphos; three daughters, Jeanne (Bob) Arnts of Chapel Hill, N.C., Sandra McDonnell of Delphos and Suzanne (Bill) Humpert of Union, Ky.; two sisters, Alma (Joe) Dampf of California and LaDonna (Virg) Birgen of Nevada; 14 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A son, Greg Geise; four sisters, Margaret Ellerbrock, Lillian Vent, Alfreda Gerdeman and Beatrice Bockey; and three brothers, Linus, Vernon and George Kill, also preceded her in death.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Landeck, with Father Jacob Gordon officiating. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Landeck.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 27, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, where a Catholic Ladies of Columbia memorial service will be held at 7 and a parish wake at 7:30 that evening.
