VW tennis team falls 4-1 to Riders

The Van Wert tennis team lost to St. Marys 4-1 in a match held Tuesday.

No. 1 singles player Nathan Knodel lost 6-4, 4-6, 0-6, while No. 2 singles player Jon Lisa fell 4-6, 4-6. Alex Bair, at No. 3 singles, was the only Van Wert player to win his match, in two sets, 6-4, 6-3.

In doubles play, the No. 1 doubles team of Trey Stemen and Josh Hill lost 3-6, 0-6, while the No. 2 doubles team of Erik Yeung and Robbie Trittschuh fell 3-6, 6-4, 6-7 (5-7).
