Dorothy Elizabeth White

Dorothy Elizabeth White, 97, of Willshire, died at 5:09 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2012, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.

She was born October 31, 1914, in Hopewell Township, Mercer County, the daughter of the late Ralph and Elise Ann (Eichenaur) Zimmerman. On November 3, 1943, she married Harold D. White, who preceded her in death on July 24, 1990.

Survivors include three sons, David (Becky) White and Ralph White, both of Willshire, and Robert White of Decatur, Ind.; two daughters, Linda (Stephen) Ford of Celina and Karen (Ronald) Heiser of Decatur; a brother, Rolland (Betty) Zimmerman of Celina; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A daughter, Shirley Roth; and three brothers, Chester, Earl and Homer Zimmerman, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Bud Larimore officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
