James Paul Henrey

James Paul Henrey, 88,of rural Wren, died at 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2012, at his residence.

He was born February 25, 1924, in Benton Township, Paulding County, the son of the late James Edward and Della Mae (Anderson) Henrey. On April 9, 1944, he married Esther Jane (Abbott) Henrey, who survives at the residence.

Other survivors include three children, Jim (Sue) Henrey of Wren, Don (Charlotte) Henrey of Salem, W.Va., and Carolyn Wells of Van Wert; seven grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A sister, Laura Ruth Downing, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Jim Robbins officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and an hour prior to services Thursday at the funeral home.
