Marjorie M. McElroy

Marjorie M. McElroy, 82, of Monroe, Ind., died Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Adams County Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Ind.

She was born May 14, 1929, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late William H. and Iva B. (Uncapher) Walser. On June 1, 1947, she married Robert E. McElroy, who preceded her in death on May 28, 2008.

Survivors include six children, Ralph W. (Patty) McElroy of Wapakoneta, Deborah K. McElroy of Houston, Texas, Delores A. (Mark) Hart of Portland, Ind., Bonnie L. (Steve) Baker of Rockford, Robert E. (Macaria) McElroy of San Diego, Calif., and George D. McElroy of Monroe, Ind.; a son-in-law, Jerry Morris of Kilmarnock, Va.; 23 grandchildren; and 36 great-grandchildren.

A daughter, Cynthia Morris; and two sisters, Edith E. Mosier and Bertha I. Walser, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 4, at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, with Pastor Timothy Pederson officiating. Burial will be in North Grove Cemetery in Celina.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Thursday, May 3, and an hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
