Cuba Louise Coil
Cuba Louise Coil, 81, of Van Wert, died at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at Van Wert County Hospital in Van Wert.
She was born June 13, 1930, in Lima, the daughter of the late Naamon and Vivian (Wilson) Hartzog. She was married to Kenneth Barnes for 28 years. After his death, she married Robert Coil, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Coil had been an employee of the former Crescent Laundry in Van Wert. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, also in Van Wert.
Survivors include four children, Kenneth Michael (Marsha) Barnes of Paulding, Mel Long of Van Wert, Marsha (Mike) Elliott of Middlefield and Marjean (Dave) Warren of Delphos; three stepchildren, Kevin Coil, Tracy Coil and Mark Coil; two brothers, Richard (Ginny) Hartzog of Lima and Jack (Paula) Hartzog of Pensacola, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Mitchell Barnes Sr. and Marlan Barnes; a stepson, Dusty Coil; two brothers, Naamon and Gene Hartzog; three grandchildren; and a great-grandchild, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastors Josh Tissot and Neil Hammons officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Friday, May 4, at the funeral home.
