Orman Ellis Frederick Goings Sr.

Orman Ellis Frederick Goings Sr., 80, of Latty, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at his residence.

He was born April 27, 1932, in Latty, the son of the late Wesley E. and Hazel A. (Hope) Goings. On April 4, 1956, he married Annetta M. (Williams) Goings, who preceded him in death on October 21, 2009.

Survivors include two sons, Orman Goings Jr. of Latty and Kim (Sandy) Goings of Defiance; three daughters, Paula Wilder of Van Wert, Yvonne Goings of Paulding and Melissa Hale of Latty; a brother, George Goings of Latty; 11 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

A son, Scott Eric Goings; one brother, Glennard Goings; and two sisters, Stella Faye Hallom and Doris Goings (in infancy), also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 12, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding, with Levi Collins officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek Zion Baptist Cemetery in Grover Hill, with graveside military rites performed.

Calling hours are from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home.
