Wanda L. Van Meter

Wanda L. Van Meter, 89, of Delphos, died at 3:25 a.m. Sunday, May 13, 2012, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Delphos.

She was born February 6, 1923, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Howard and Marvel “Pete” (Groves) Maxson. She married Dale W. Van Meter, who preceded her in death on July 20, 1990.

Survivors include two sons, Robert (Sherri) Van Meter of Gallion and Michael (Margaret “Peggy”) Van Meter of Delphos; a daughter, Dianna (Dan) Mullen of Delphos; one sister, Sue Follas of Paulding; six grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A brother, Robert Maxson, and one great-grandchild, Phillip Dudgeon, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 17, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Delphos, with the Rev. David Howell officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Delphos.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos and an hour prior to services Thursday at the church.
