2 people appear in Common Pleas Court

Two people appeared for hearings on Tuesday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court.

Rodney Walker, 40, of Van Wert, entered a plea of guilty to a reduced charge of attempted trespass in a  habitation, a felony of the fifth degree. He was originally charged with trespass in a habitation, a fourth-degree felony.

Walker’s bond was continued while a presentence investigation is conducted. Sentencing was set for 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 27.

David Boff Jr., 19, of Van Wert, admitted to violating his personal surety bond by failing to report to his probation officer.

Judge Charles D. Steele revoked Boff’s bond and ordered that he be held in jail until his sentencing on May 23.
