This past weekend marked the end of two Crestview organizations’ seasons. Track and Knight Vision ended their seasons at two different events on Friday and Saturday while the Crestview Concert Band made one of its last performances.

Track wrapped up their regular season with Crestview hosting the NWC meet. The girls came in sixth place while the boys came in at fourth. The guys 4X200 featuring Trevor Roop, Avery Jones, Nick Cunningham and Malcolm Oliver came in second in their event.  “Seeing as we were running against two teams who were most likely going to state,” said Roop, “I feel that we did really well to get second place.”

In the Crestview auditeria Friday night Knight Vision wrapped up their season with their final performance of their competition show ‘Burning Up’.  Junior Shelby Ripley said, “This year was an opportunity for our young group to gain experience.”

Crestview Concert Band preformed four different songs that they have been practicing for the past couple months for one of their last performances. The band still has to march in the Memorial Day parade and the Peony Parade along with a small performance for the Elementary. Many seniors were sad to leave band, especially Jasmine Coleman who said, “I’m really going to miss band. Being in it was probably the highlight of my high school career.”

Crestview Seniors may be leaving but this brings in all kinds of new talent from the eighth grade class. Not to mention all the talent that was already in these programs. Seniors may be leaving, but they will never be forgotten. GO KNIGHTS!
