YMCA brings back Yoga on the Beach

Back by popular demand, the YMCA of Van Wert County will once again be offering Yoga on the Beach this summer.  This yoga fitness class will be held on the beach of Camp Clay (9196 Liberty Union Road) on Friday mornings, starting June 1, from 6:30-7:30 a.m.  There will be no class the week of July 4.  Rainy day yoga will be held in the shelterhouse of Camp Clay.  All participants must bring their own beach towel and/or yoga mat and a small hand towel.

“This class is perfect for absolutely anyone and everyone interested in a yoga practice,” stated Julie Schaufelberger, Y wellness director. “The overall flow of the class will be relaxed and focused on flexibility, balance and breathing — all while enjoying the sunrise and sounds of nature on the beach of Rotary Lake at Camp Clay.”

This eight-week session is open to the public.  Y member registration is $20 and potential (non) members can participate for $50.  One may register by calling the Y at 419.238.0443 or online at www.vwymca.org.  All are encouraged to register by Friday, June 1.
