Mendon Firecracker Fest coming in June

MENDON — The Mendon Firecracker Festival will be held this year on June 8-9 at Community Park in the village.

The festival will include a cornhole tournament, a Texas Hold ‘Em poker tournament, garden tractor pulls (Western Ohio Garden Tractor Pulling Association), kids’ inflatable rides, ball games, a petting zoo, carnival concessions, the Erastus band, fireworks and lots of homemade food.

There will also be a midget race car on display in the park for the festival.

Proceeds from the festival, which is sponsored by the Wren Lions Club, go toward scholarships, eye-related charities of the Lions and other community activities and events.
