Drive One 4 UR School donates to C’view

CONVOY — StateWide Ford Lincoln, Crestview High School and members of the local community raised $4,600 for Crestview’s Knight Pride Club at a recent test-drive event, as part of Ford Motor Company’s “Drive One 4 UR School” program.

More than 230 area residents test-drove a Ford vehicle at Crestview High School on April 21, and Statewide Ford Lincoln and Ford Motor Company donated $20 per test-drive, with funds going to the Knight Pride Club to support student programs.

Since the program’s inception in 2007, the Drive One 4 UR School program has generated over $9 million in donations for high schools nationwide.  The money raised during these events has helped ensure that extracurricular activities like sports and music programs continue in local communities despite budgetary constraints and funding cuts.

StateWide Ford Lincoln has now held six of these events. Two each at Van Wert, Lincolnview and Crestview High Schools with the total amount raised over $30,000.

“We are thrilled that so many people come out from the community to support these ‘Drive One’ events,” said Steve Munroe, StateWide general manager. “Participants have the chance to take a fun, casual drive in one of our new products while lending the schools a helping hand.“
