Joan Grant Riley

Joan Grant Riley, 92, of Willshire, died at 8:10 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2012, at the Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.

She was born April 13, 1920, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Harry and Laura (Kiger) Grant. On July 27, 1940, she married Eugene Riley, who preceded her in death on August 31, 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Mike (Janet) Riley and Van Riley, both of Rockford; a daughter, Deatra (Doug) Evans of Medina; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and one sister, Debby Pflum of Naperville, Ill.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon, Thursday, June 14, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating. Burial will be in Willshire Cemetery.

Calling hours are from 10 a.m. until the time of services Thursday at the funeral home.

Preferred memorials: Maplewood of Shanes Village Activity Fund for those in the assisted living area, or to State of the Heart Hospice in Coldwater.
