Council on Aging sets garage sale dates

The Van Wert County Council on Aging has announced the dates of its annual garage sale. This year, the garage sale will run Thursday, July 26, through Saturday, July 28, and August 2-4. The sale will be open Thursday and Friday, from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Council on Aging is also happy to announce that it will also have outdoor vender spots for those wanting to have a garage sale during the above two garage sale weekends. The spaces will be 12 x 12-feet and sellers must provide their own awning or covering, if they want one. Sellers are also responsible for providing tables, chairs, and anything else they want at their sale site.

The price for a spot is $20 per day or $50 for all three days. The Council on Aging is not responsible for any liability or accidents and will not issue refunds in the event of inclement weather. The Senior Center is located at 220 Fox Road, just off of U.S. 127, which is a premier spot to have when participating in the country’s largest garage sale event. These spots will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis so reserve a spot quickly, as there is only a limited amount of space.
