Flag football league registration set

It’s that time again. The Van Wert Parks and Recreation Department is now taking registrations for its NFL Flag Football Program.

This program provides young players a fun and exciting opportunity to engage in non-contact continuous action while learning lessons in teamwork. This year two age categories will be offered — 5-7 and 8-10 year olds — with September 1 as the age cut-off date. A registration form must be filled out in order to participate.

Participants can register two different ways, at the Jubilee Park Office or on line. To register online, or for further info on the program, go to www.vanwert.org under “youth programs”. Online registration will be open on July 9 and the deadline to register is, Friday, August 3.  Games will begin the week of September 3, with ages 5-7 and playing on Tuesdays and 8-10 year olds on Thursdays at Smiley Park.
