Ralph E. Head

Ralph E. Head, 74, of Oakwood, died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born March 14, 1938, in Paulding County, the son of the late George and Iva (Robeson) Head. On November 11, 1966, he married Lois B. (Mitchell) Head, who survives.

Other survivors include a daughter, Caroline (Darrel) Groll of Defiance; one son, John (Angie) Head of Oakwood; and four grandchildren.

Three brothers, David, Harvey and Lester; a sister, Lucille Parson; and a special niece, Eva May Mitchell, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 9, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding. Burial will be in Sherman Cemetery in Oakwood, with graveside military rites performed.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Sunday, July 8, and an hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
