VW has talent!

Although it was cold and there was about a foot of snow on the ground, that didn’t stop the Ohio Has Talent! show from taking place at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio on Saturday. A total of 20 acts entertained a nice-sized crowd at the NPAC, although the weather kept away some of the approximately 1,000 people who bought tickets for the show. Winner of the contest was Shirissa Seibert (above and left), a freshman at Wright State University-Lake Campus, who sang a soaring version of Leonard Cohen’s ballad “Hallelujah.” The magician act of Jordan Rode and Jennifer Kahlig took second place, while singer Stephanie Spitnale was third. The brother-and-sister dance team of Andrew and Lisa Heckman earned an honorable mention. (Photos by Dave Mosier/Van Wert independent)
