The Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Governing Board took care of a couple of personnel issues as part of a brief summer agenda for its July meeting on Wednesday.
The board approved a one-year certified contract for Sara Linder as a preschool intervention specialist, effective the beginning of the 2012-2013 school year and also authorized additional days for Christine Feichter to complete work on a Bridges grant.
The board also approved bus and van driver lists for certification and approved the WBESC calendar for closures for the upcoming school year.
Also on the agenda, the board approved a Buckeye Association of School Administrators (BASA) membership for Superintendent Brian Gerber at a cost of $843.60 and also approved a membership in the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO) at a cost of $453 for Treasurer Gary Ginter.
The board also accepted, with thanks, the following Red Ribbon Assembly donations: $175 from the Justin R. Lybold Memorial Fund, and $200 from the Lacy L. Trammel Memorial Fund. Both funds are administered by The Van Wert County Foundation.
The board also went into executive session to discuss personnel issues, with no action taken afterwards.
The next meeting of the Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Governing Board will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, at the Paulding ESC office.
