VW Boychoir announces summer camp

The Van Wert Area Boychoir is holding its annual summer camp from Tuesday, July 31, through Thursday, August 2. Each day of camp will run from 1-4 p.m.

The camp is open to all area boys with unchanged voices. The camp will be held at First United Methodist Church, 113 Central Ave. in Van Wert.

There is no cost for the camp and a light snack will be provided each day. Activities include singing instruction, individual and group vocal production, and individual tone matching and recognition. Recreation breaks will be provided each day.

The Van Wert Area Boychoir is under the artistic leadership of Brian J. Anders, artistic director. Melissa Clay is accompanist, Larry Taylor is arranger and technical director, Lindsey Newlove is rehearsal assistant and Jake Wilder is vocal coach.

Created in 2004, the boychoir recognizes the abilities of all members. The goal is to provide an opportunity for boys of all backgrounds and abilities to participate in a quality musical, cultural and educational experience.
