Robert D. Ruhlin

Robert D. “Bob” Ruhlin, 85, of Van Wert, died at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at The Laurels of Shane Hill in Rockford.

He was born July 28, 1927, in Lima, the son of the late George C. and Illa Pearl (Crow) Ruhlin. On October 31, 1948, at the Evangelical United Brethren Church in Van Wert, he married Winifred R. (Schaadt) Ruhlin, who survives.

Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.

A daughter, Tracy Ruhlin-Githens, preceded him in death on March 6, 2003.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are an hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
