Rhea B. Swander

Rhea B. Swander, 76, of Ohio City, died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, August 10, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born December 31, 1935, in Ohio City, the daughter of the late Sherman Glenn “Buck” and Edna Mae (Ayers) Fenton. On September 10, 1955, she married Paul W. “Rosie” Swander, who preceded her in death on February 2, 2008.

Survivors include three sons, Darrell E. (Diana “Deeter”) Swander of Ohio City, Tony A. (Lori) Swander of Rockford and Paul G. “Tip” (Janeece Friesner) Swander of Van Wert; a sister, Mary L. Ries of Coldwater; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Three brothers, Edwin Glenn Boroff, William Earl Boroff and Donald E. Boroff, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, August 13, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with Pastor Randy Bevington officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 9 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home.
