Dana L. Coppes

Dana L. Coppes, 53, of Van Wert, died at 4:12 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born August 17, 1958, in Paulding, the son of Joan (Parker) Coppes, who survives in Oakwood, and the late Richard Coppes.

Other survivors include two children, Christopher (Lucretia) Coppes of Defiance and Jeremy Chad Coppes of Paulding; a brother, Dale (Deena) Coppes of Grover Hill; one sister, Karen (Steve) Leatherman of Oakwood; and three grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 18, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. William Nirote officiating.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 17, and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
