Cougar JV golfers 6th in Celina tourney

CELINA — The Cougar junior varsity golf team traveled to the Fox’s Den in Celina on Thursday to compete in a 13-team JV Invitational hosted by Celina High School.

Van Wert finished the day at 408, which placed it sixth out of 13 teams. Lima Central Catholic won the event with a score of 324, aided by the T-Birds’ top golfer, who shot a one under 71. The JVs return to action on Monday against Shawnee in a 4:30 p.m. match at Willow Bend Country Club.
