Grace June Boyce

Grace June Boyce, 85, of Van Wert, died at 3 p.m. Sunday, August 19, 2012, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.

She was born May 9, 1927, in Anna, Ill., the daughter of the late James and Sarah Tucker. In 1929, she was adopted by Robert Dee and Mae Mocabee of Van Wert. She is survived by her husband, John Boyce of Van Wert, who she married on August 4, 1947.

Other survivors include two children, David (Karla) Boyce and Sandra (Jim) Sheets, both of Van Wert; seven grandchildren, Lori Tate, Craig (Angie) Sheets, Corey (Andrea) Boyce, Jennifer (Eric) Boyce, Tamara (Pat) Williamson, Angela (Rob) Curtis, and Amy (Tom) Limbean; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

Grace was a longtime member of Rockford Presbyterian Church and was an avid golfer and bowler. She also loved to fish at the family cottage in Michigan.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 22, at Brickner Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Ohio City.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 21, at the funeral home.
