WBESC board OKs personnel actions

The Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Governing Board approved a number of personnel actions during its regular September meeting, which was held at Thomas Edison Center.
The board extended a one-year contract to Rebecca Johns as a paraprofessional in the Allen County ESC system, effective the beginning of the year. Other personnel action included the following:
- Approved a one-year contract for Lacinda Crosby as a paraprofessional at Payne Elementary School in the Wayne Trace Local School District.
- Approved a one-year contract to Tianne Pendergrast as a part-time, as-needed paraprofessional at Antwerp Elementary School in the Wayne Trace district.
- Extended a one-year contract to Amanda McDorman as a paraprofessional at Antwerp Elementary.
- Approved a one-year contract for Deanna Wann as a part-time, as-needed paraprofessional at Antwerp.
- Employed Angela Smith as a long-term substitute teacher at $85 per day (until Ohio certification is completed), a half-time intervention specialist and half-time paraprofessional at Lincolnview Local Schools.
Treasurer Gary Ginter also reviewed the current financial reports, investments and monthly expenditures.
The next meeting of the Western Buckeye Educational Service Center Governing Board will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 10, at the Paulding ESC office.
