Lady Knights eke out win over Lancers

CONVOY – The Crestview Lady Knights welcomed the Lady Lancers of Lincolnview to Ray Etzler Gymnasium on Tuesday and eked out a victory in four hard-fought games. Scores were 25-21, 14-25, 25-15 and 25-23. Crestview is now 6-4 overall and 2-1 in the Northwest Conference.

Crestview will be back in action on Thursday as the Knights travel to Paulding for another conference match-up.

The Crestview junior varsity also came out on top, winning its match in two straight games.

Leading the way for the Knights in the varsity match:

Serving – Kirstin Hicks, 20/21 with 4 aces; Tianna Rager, 23/23 with 2 aces; Mackenzie Riggenbach, 10/10 with 2 aces; Haley Helm, 16/16; Mekale Clifton, 11/11 with 1 ace; and Courtney Trigg 8/9 with 1 ace.

Hitting – Hicks, 10 kills; Clifton, 7 kills; Trigg, 5 kills; and Helm, 4 kills.

Setting – Riggenbach, 14 assists; and Helm, 13 assists.

Digs – Rager, 24 digs; and Hicks and Helm, each with 11 digs.

Blocks – Trigg, 4 stuff blocks.
