C’view v-ball team defeats Bearcats

CONVOY – The Crestview varsity volleyball team came out on top once again as it defeated the Spencerville Lady Bearcats in Northwest Conference play in straight games, 25-10, 25-13 and 25-18. The Knights are now 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the NWC. The Crestview junior varsity team was also victorious in straight games.

The Knights will be back in action on Thursday as they travel to Allen East for another league match-up.

Leading the way in Tuesday night’s match were:

Serving – Kirstin Hicks, 18/18 with 1 ace; Mackenzie Riggenbach, 14/14 with 1 ace; Courtney Trigg, 12/13 with 1 ace; Mekale Clifton, 10/10; and Tianna Rager, 8/8.

Hitting – Hicks, 11 kills; Clifton, 8 kills; Trigg, 7 kills; Megan Hartman, 6 kills; and Haley Helm, 4 kills.

Setting – Helm, 21 assists; and Riggenbach, 13 assists.

Digs – Rager, 16 digs.

Blocking – Trigg, 5 stuff blocks.
