Robert Rode

Robert “Bob” Rode, 81, of Elida, died at 2:46 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at his residence.

He was born October 29, 1931, in Delphos, the son of the late George and Martha (Honingford) Rode. In 1951, he married Betty (Dannhausen) Rode, who preceded him in death on August 23, 2011.

Survivors include a son, Steven (Carol) Rode of Fort Jennings; three daughters, Debra (Rufino) Gomez of Romana, Calif., Vicki (Ted) Music of Lima and Sandra (John) Gerstner of Xenia; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, John Letzelter.

A son, Richard Rode; one daughter, Jenni Letzelter; a brother, James Rode; and one sister, Betty Wickstandt, also preceded him in death.

Private funeral services will be conducted at a later date.

No calling hours are scheduled at this time.

Arrangements were handled by Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos.
