Norma L. Wollet

Norma L. Wollet, 90, of Middle Point, died at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Van Wert Manor.

She was born October 6, 1922, in Washington Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Delmer and Ethel (Jenkins) Stemen. On March 8, 1943, she married Alfred Wollet, who preceded her in death on October 10, 1962.

Norma loved to crochet and loved to be with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the holidays, especially Thanksgiving. Fall was her favorite time of the year.

She belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Trinity Lutheran Church of Middle Point and the Presbyterian Church of Middle Point, as well as the Middle Point Fire Department Auxiliary.

She worked at Triangle Supermarket in Van Wert, then was a nurse’s aide at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert. She was also Middle Point village clerk for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Gloria (Ric Wagner) Hundley and Ginger (Russ) Rahrig; two sisters, Marilyn (Dorce) of Canfield and Joan Alt of Van Wert; five grandchildren, Jennifer Rife, John (Diana) Hundley, Amber (Scott) Davis, Jason Miller, and April (Jonathan) Bryant; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special sister-in-law, Ferne Wollet.

An infant daughter, Vickie; and two brothers, Leonard and John Stemen, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 25, at Harter and Schier Funeral Home in Delphos, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery in rural Van Wert County.

Calling hours are from 2-8 p.m. Saturday, November 24, at the funeral home.
