Club sets Pearl Harbor memorial shoot

The Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Club will be hosting a Pearl Harbor Commemorative Military Rifle Shoot to remember American heroes, both past and present. The event will be held Saturday, December 8, starting at 9:30 a.m.

The shoot is open to both members and nonmembers. The cost is just $2, and participants can shoot at either 100 or 200 yards. Those people who have always wanted an M-1 Garand rifle can also qualify to purchase one through the Civilian Marksmanship Program by participating in the match.

The club also has a few M-1 Garand rifles to loan if a person doesn’t have a gun to shoot. Local residents may also purchase 30.06 ammo for the match if they do not have their own.
