Ernest D. Harshman

Ernest D. Harshman, 75, of Payne, died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne, Ind.

He was born March 3, 1937, in Payne, the son of the late David W. and Bertha (Miller) Harshman. He was married to Mary M. (Pickford) Harshman, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include a stepdaughter, Fran (Jim) Litzenberg of Indialantic, Fla.; a sister, Joyce Barrand of Payne; one granddaughter; a great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Two brothers, Paul E. Harshman and Harold Harshman; a sister, Kathryn Bruns; and a great-grandson, David Lee Litzenberg-Loftin, also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, December 7, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Payne. Burial will follow in Lehman Cemetery in Payne.

Calling hours are from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, December 6, at Den Herder Funeral Home in Paulding and an hour prior to services Friday at the church.

Preferred memorials: St. Paul United Methodist Church or a charity of donor’s choice.
