Lady Knights get win over Parkway

ROCKFORD — The Crestview Lady Knights defeated Parkway in Rockford Tuesday night to move to 3-1 on the season.

The Lady Knights and Lady Panthers battled and both came out on fire in the first quarter as Crestview led 17-14 at the end of one.  However, Crestview cranked up the defense to outscore Parkway 10-3 in the second stanza and garner a 27-17 lead at the half.

The Knights then pulled away in the second half behind solid rebounding and a solid transition offense to come away with a 56-38 victory.

Emily Bauer led the Lady Knights with 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Crestview also received solid scoring efforts from Lindsey Motycka, Mackenzie Riggenbach and Mariah Henry, who had 9, 9 and 8 points, respectively (click here for more statistics). The Lady Knights will begin Northwest Conference play on Thursday when they travel to Ada to face the Lady Bulldogs.
