2013 county dog licenses now on sale

Dog licenses for 2013 are now on sale at the Van Wert County Auditor’s Office, Room 203 in the County Courthouse, as well as at the following locations:

• Hall Lumber Company, 122 S. Main St. in Convoy
• J&J Butler Sales, 200 Walcott St. in Willshire
• The Ramblers Roost at the truck stop on Lincoln Highway
• Van Wert Animal Clinic (Dr. Wilkin) on Lincoln Highway in Van Wert
• Van Wert Veterinary Clinic (Dr. Trapp) on Van Wert-Decatur Road in Van Wert
• Ohio City Express, 511 W. Carmean St. in Ohio City
• Brenda’s Cuddles & Cuts, 1333 N. Main St. in Delphos
• Emme Lu’s Pet Wellness Center LLC, 706 W. Ervin Road, Suite C in Van Wert
• Dog House Grooming & Supplies, 117 N. Washington St. in Van Wert

A stamped, self-addressed envelope, along with proper fee, must accompany the return of the application by mail. If purchasing a tag at one of the above locations, take the application received in the mail to the location.

License cost is $16 per tag, while a penalty of $16 must be paid, in addition to the license cost and fee, for licenses purchased for dogs 3 months of age or older after January 31, 2013.

Kennel licenses are $80 for five tags, with extra tags $1 apiece. The penalty for kennel licenses is an additional $80 if purchased after January 31, 2013.

All dogs ages 3 months and older require a license.
