Lady Knights down Ada in NWC tilt

ADA — The Crestview Lady Knights travelled to Ada for their fifth straight road game and came out victorious 46-35 in the Northwest Conference match-up.

The Lady Knights rode a strong defensive performance and solid shooting in defeating the previously unbeaten Lady Bulldogs. Ada was held to 23 percent on all field goals, while Crestview had a respectable 47 percent field-goal shooting performance, connecting on 16 of 34 shots from the field.

Crestview used a strong first half to gain a 10-point lead, then the Lady Knights controlled the boards and played solid team defense to maintain the lead in the second half.

The Lady Knights were led in scoring by Terra Crowle with 13 points. Emily Bauer had 9 points and 12 rebounds, while Lindsey Motycka and Mackenzie Riggenbach each chipped in 8 points in the balanced scoring attack (click here for a boxscore and additional statistics).

Crestview moves to 4-1 on the year and 1-0 in the NWC.  They will be in action again next Thursday as they travel to Delphos Jefferson to take on the Lady Wildcats in Northwest Conference action.
