Courtroom open house this Sunday

Just a reminder that the Van Wert County Common Pleas Court, located on the third floor of the County Courthouse, will be having an open house from 1-3 p.m. this Sunday to show off the recent courtroom renovation project.

The project includes new paint, carpeting, replacements for missing wood carvings on the top of two arches in the courtroom and restoration of the magnificent stained-glass dome that has been covered since 1951.

A new sound system and special acoustic tiles were also installed in the courtroom.

The open house is free and open to the public.
