Santa Claus to be at museum gift shop

The Gift Shoppe at the Seven Oaks, located on the grounds of the Van Wert County Historical Society, will be hosting its final author for the season in the form of Santa Claus, the author and keeper of the Good Little Boys and Good Little Girls List.

Santa will be visiting the Gift Shoppe this Sunday afternoon from 2-4:30. Children of all ages are invited to come and sign their name in Santa’s book this Sunday — the Gift Shoppe’s last day for this season.

The Shoppe has a variety of locally crafted items for sale for the last minute holiday shopper. Hours for the closing day are 2-4:30.

The Gift Shoppe at the Seven Oaks is located behind the big red caboose in the Welcome Center on the campus of the Van Wert County Historical Society.

Also, the Historical Society’s membership drive for 2013 is underway. Those interested in Van Wert County’s history are asked to join and help preserve that history.
