YMCA to host ‘Rockin’ the Holidays’ event

The YMCA of Van Wert County will again be hosting the holiday event, “Rockin’ the Holidays at the Y” this year.  The event will be held on Friday, December 21, from 4:30-6:30 p.m.

“Rockin’ the Holidays” is a free, open to the public event that will be held under the big tents and Christmas lights on the front lawn of the Y.

There will be something for all ages: Santa will be “riding” in at 4:30 p.m. and sticking around for any free last minute professional photos with kids.  Starting at 5 that evening, Fortress Band will rock out some holiday music until 6:30 p.m. Also during the event, cookies, chili and hot chocolate will be available for all to enjoy.

Horse and carriage and wagon rides will be available during the entire event, as well as a chance to win some great door prizes, including tickets to a Shrek the Musical performance at the Niswonger Performing Arts Center of Northwest Ohio, a $25 Pampered Chef gift certificate, a six-month Y membership and more.

Anyone who joins the YMCA during the event will pay nothing until 2013. This is a savings worth up to $125 – with no joining fee or first month payment due at signing.
