Lady Knights down Fort Jennings

FORT JENNINGS — The Crestview Lady Knights turned in a great defensive performance to defeat the Fort Jennings Lady Musketeers 46-23 in a matchup between Northwest Conference and Putnam County League foes.

The Lady Knights, playing their seventh road game of the year, moved to 6-1 overall.  After outscoring Jennings by 10 in the first half, Crestview put the game out of reach in the third quarter, with the Knights surrendering just 4 points while scoring 10 of their own in the quarter for a 16-point lead, 34-18.

Freshman Emily Bauer led the Knights on offense with her third straight double-double, tallying 12 points and grabbing 12 rebounds for Crestview. Lindsey Motycka and Kennis Mercer added 10 and 9 points, respectively, contributing to the balanced Lady Knight scoring attack (click here for more stats).

Crestview was also victorious in the junior varsity game, 35-23, to move to 5-2 on the season.

The Knights will make their home debut this Thursday at 6 p.m. in a league game against Lima Central Catholic.
