Local residents can still apply for HEAP

The Van Wert County Council on Aging would like to remind area residences that it is not too late to file for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).

Area residents can apply for this program through the Council on Aging to receive assistance in paying for the rising costs of heat their homes. Those interested in applying for help should call the Council on Aging at 419.238.5011 to set an appointment. When coming to an appointment remember to bring proof of income for each individual in the home, social security numbers for each individual in the home, and the most recent heating and/or electric bill.
