Ruth ‘Jeanette’ (Stemen) Williman

Ruth “Jeanette” (Stemen) Williman, 90, of Van Wert, died at 6:25 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born September 19, 1922, in Ridge Township, Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Raymond G. and Wilma “LaVerna” (Morris) Stemen. On June 1, 1944, she married Maurice R. Williman, who preceded her in death on March 30, 2000.

Survivors include five children, Michael (Teresa) Williman and Carmen (Michael) Wannemacher, both of Van Wert, Cynthia (Jim) Spiers of Lim, Peter (Carol) Williman of Van Wert and Lydia (Kenny) Bruns of Howard City, Mich.; 22 grandchildren; and 34 great-grandchildren.

A granddaughter, Langdyn Wannemacher; one brother, Little Paul Morris; and two sisters, Eva Olene Knepper and Aletha Fern Johnston, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 22, at Cowan & Son Funeral Home in Van Wert, with the Rev. W. Clark Williman officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 3-5 p.m. Friday, December 21, and an hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
