Girl Scouts prepare to sell cookies

Girl Scouts of Van Wert County recently held their annual “Cookie Rally” to kick off the cookie sales season. The girls had a great time cosmic bowling in Decatur, Ind., and then enjoyed tasting the cookies, including a new item — Double Dutch Chewy Snack Bars.

Girl Scouts are once again offering the Super Six cookies types — Thin Mints, Savannah Smiles, Trefoils, Do-si-dos, Samoas, and Tagalongs. They also have two new items — Chewy Snack Bars in two flavors — Tagalongs and Double Dutch.

Cookies are $3.50 per box and the snack bars are $4 per box. The Girl Scouts are also participating in the Gift of Caring — cookies purchased for Gift of Caring will be delivered to Heroes in Action and Operation Thank You.
