Buckeye Youth will be hosting a Fun Day on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, January 21, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the YWCA, 408 E. Main St. in Van Wert.

This fun “no school day” event is open to all area children 5 to 12.  We will have many interesting Science related presentations and activities, which will feature a special program from Science Central called “What’s the Matter?” In addition to these activities we will be swimming, playing games and making Science related crafts.  Two snacks will be provided.  Each child should bring a swimsuit, towel and a sack lunch.

The cost is $10 for Buckeye Youth and YWCA members and $12 for non-members.  Each additional sibling is $3 off.  There will be teen supervision from Buckeye Youth members, area high school service clubs as well as staff and adult volunteers for the day.

Registration and payment are preferred by Friday, January 18, at the Buckeye Youth office, 147 E. Main St., Suite D in Van Wert (at the northwest corner of Market and Main streets, second door on North Market Street).
