M. Carolyn Dippery

M. Carolyn Dippery, 92, of Van Wert, died Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born November 6, 1920, in Mason, Mich., the daughter of the late Charles P. and Susan B. (Dunifon) Clark. On July 7, 1940, she married Richard E. Dippery Sr., who also preceded her in death on November 21, 1993.

Survivors include two children, Dr. Richard E. (Edith) Dippery of Flint, Mich., and Jeanne (Rev. Thomas) Phillips of Grove City; two sisters, Pauline Wermer of Van Wert and Josephine (Richard) Ditto of Madison, Ala.; a brother, William (Helen) Wilcox of Fort Wayne, Ind.; one sister-in-law, Judith Clark of Lutz, Fla.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A sister, Sara Adams, and one brother, John Clark, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 19, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Van Wert, with the Rev. Will Haggis and Rev. Thomas Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.

Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 18, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert and an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Preferred memorials: Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center or St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
